Your own indicator

A line you define with a formula, such as (close / sma(close, 200) − 1) × 100.

Why it matters

Every classic indicator is just arithmetic on prices. Writing your own lets you plot exactly the idea you have, then save it with your chart.

How to read it

Use close, open, high, low and volume, maths, and functions like sma, ema, rsi, highest and lowest. Start from an example, change one number, and watch the check under the formula.

Also called: custom formula, own indicator, script
