Every answer comes with its why.
Cluenex shows you what matters about a stock, and why it matters. Every verdict comes with its reasons, the line that would change it, and an honest record of how calls like it have done.
Reasons, not ratings
Every verdict lists the numbers behind it and where each one comes from: company filings, prices, our own models. If we can't show why, we don't say it.
The line that would change our mind
Every verdict states the price at which it flips. Below fair value turns Fair above the buy price; Above fair value turns Fair below our optimistic case. You can plan instead of react.
A record we can't edit
Each night's verdicts are fingerprinted and anchored in the Bitcoin blockchain, then scored against the S&P 500 in public, including when we are wrong.
We tell you what didn't work
We tested "Insiders buying below value" on 270 cases. It trailed a typical stock by 1.6% over 60 trading days, so we retired it, and say so.
Plain words
More than 150 terms explained in everyday language, the same words inside the app and on this site. Jargon always comes with its meaning.
Data nobody else combines
We read SEC insider filings ourselves, add FINRA short interest and our own nightly verdicts. The useful moments are when independent sources agree.
How a verdict is made
- Is it a good business? Four checks against its own industry: profitability, moat, growth and financial health, each scored 0 to 10.
- What is it worth? A valuation model built for its kind of business gives three cases: cautious, base and optimistic. The base case is the fair value.
- Is the price right? The buy price is the fair value less a safety margin that grows with risk. Under it: Below fair value. Over the optimistic case: Above fair value. In between: Fair. Businesses too uneven to value: Speculative.
- Sealed and scored. Every night the verdicts are fingerprinted, timestamped in Bitcoin and added to the public track record.
