Put/call ratio
Put contracts traded divided by call contracts traded.
Why it matters
Above 1 means more puts than calls: traders hedging or betting on a fall. It is a crowd gauge, often read as contrarian at extremes.
How to read it
Single stock ratios swing a lot; compare with the stock’s own recent average.
