Stock screener
A filter that finds every stock matching the rules you set, like “P/E under 20 and dividend above 3%”.
Why it matters
With about 1,000 stocks you can’t read them all. A screen narrows the field to the few worth a closer look.
How to read it
Start broad, then add one rule at a time and watch how many stocks remain. A screen finds candidates; it doesn’t replace reading the business.
Also called: screen, stock filter
