Plan features and limits are subject to change. When we add new features, they will be made available to the relevant plan tier. When we modify limits or features in ways that reduce functionality, we will provide at least 30 days' notice to affected subscribers before changes take effect.

The Cluenex Institutional plan includes a 30-day free trial. Your payment method is collected at signup but you are not charged a single dollar until day 31. If you cancel before day 30, you owe nothing.

Free Trial — How It Works
Try free for 30 days. Walk away at no cost.
Your 30-day free trial begins the moment you complete signup. During this period you receive full Institutional plan access — every feature, no restrictions. Your card on file is not charged.

On day 31, your first payment of $101 is automatically collected and your monthly billing cycle begins from that date. You will receive an email reminder 3 days before the trial ends so you have time to cancel if needed.

Cancel any time before day 30 and you will not be charged. Cancellation during the trial immediately ends your access and your card is never billed. If you cancel on or after day 31, standard cancellation terms apply — see Section 8.

calendar_month3. Billing Cycles & Subscription Dates

Monthly recurring billing on your anniversary date.

All Cluenex Professional subscriptions are billed on a monthly recurring basis. Understanding exactly how your billing cycle works:

Subscription Start Date
Your subscription begins on the date you complete checkout and your first payment is successfully processed. This date becomes your "billing anniversary date" — the day each month on which your subscription renews and you are charged.

Automatic Renewal
Your subscription renews automatically each month on your billing anniversary date unless you cancel before that date. By subscribing, you authorize Cluenex (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel. You will receive an email reminder 3 days before each renewal.

Month-End Adjustments
If your billing anniversary date falls on a date that doesn't exist in a given month (e.g., the 31st when a month has only 30 days), your renewal will occur on the last day of that month. For example, if you subscribed on January 31, your February renewal will occur on February 28 or 29.

Receipts & Invoices
A payment receipt is emailed to your registered email address within minutes of each successful charge. Receipts include the amount charged, the service period covered, your billing details, and a unique transaction identifier. You can access your full billing history in your account under Settings → Billing.

Renewal Reminders
We send an email renewal reminder 3 days before each billing date. This gives you time to update your payment method or cancel if needed before the charge occurs. Ensure your email address on file is current to receive these notifications.

Secure payments powered by Stripe. We never touch your card data.

All payment processing for Cluenex is handled by Stripe, a globally trusted payment infrastructure company that is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level of payment security certification available.

Accepted Cards
We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Card details are entered directly on Stripe's secure checkout infrastructure — they never pass through Cluenex's servers. Cluenex only receives a tokenized representation of your payment method.

Card Data Security
Cluenex does not store, process, or have access to your full card number, CVV, or complete billing details. The only payment-related data we store is your billing name, billing address (for invoice purposes), subscription status, and the last 4 digits of your card (provided by Stripe for display in account settings). Your payment information is protected by Stripe's industry-leading security infrastructure.

Updating Payment Details
You can update your payment method at any time through your account under Settings → Billing → Update Payment Method. We recommend updating your card before your renewal date if your card is expiring or has changed. If your card expires or is declined before you update it, see the Failed Payments section below for what happens next.
receipt_long5. Taxes, VAT & Regional Pricing

Applicable taxes may be added to your subscription charge.

The advertised price of $101/mo is the base subscription price excluding any applicable taxes. Depending on your location and applicable law, additional taxes may be applied to your subscription charge:

  • VAT (Value Added Tax): Users in the European Union, United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions where VAT applies to digital services may see VAT added to their subscription price. The applicable VAT rate is determined by your billing address country and will be shown clearly on your invoice.
  • GST/HST: Users in Canada, Australia, and other applicable jurisdictions may have GST, HST, or equivalent taxes applied.
  • US Sales Tax: Where required by applicable state or local law in the United States, sales tax or equivalent digital services tax may be collected.
  • Other Taxes: You are responsible for any other taxes, duties, or levies applicable to your subscription in your jurisdiction that are not collected by Cluenex.

All applicable taxes will be displayed before you confirm your subscription and will appear on your invoices. The tax amount is calculated based on the billing address you provide. Cluenex does not control tax rates and cannot be held responsible for tax obligations beyond those it is legally required to collect.

Tax exemption requests: If you believe you qualify for a tax exemption, contact us at support@cluenex.com with supporting documentation. We will work with Stripe to apply exemptions where permitted.

error6. Failed Payments & Grace Period

Failed payments trigger an automatic retry process. Your data is always safe.

If a payment attempt fails — due to an expired card, insufficient funds, bank decline, or other reason — the following process applies:

Immediate Notification
You will receive an email notification at your registered address immediately when a payment fails. The email includes instructions on how to update your payment method and a link to your billing settings. Please act promptly to avoid service interruption.

Automatic Retry Schedule
Cluenex will automatically retry the failed payment up to 3 times over a 7-day period: Day 1 (initial failure), Day 3, and Day 7. You will receive an email notification before each retry attempt. If you update your payment method before a retry, the retry will use your new card.

Grace Period Access
During the 7-day retry window, you retain full Institutional plan access. We do not immediately downgrade your account on the first payment failure. This grace period is provided as a courtesy to allow you time to resolve billing issues without service interruption.

Downgrade After Failed Retries
If all 3 retry attempts fail and you have not updated a valid payment method within 7 days of the initial failure, your account will be automatically downgraded to the free plan. You will not lose your account or data — your watchlist, preferences, and history are preserved for 30 days.

Reactivating After Downgrade
To restore Institutional access after a failed-payment downgrade, update your payment method and resubscribe through your account settings. Your 30-day free trial does not apply to resubscriptions. Contact support@cluenex.com if you believe you were downgraded due to a billing error to discuss reinstatement.

Upgrading and modifying your account.

As Cluenex grows, we may introduce additional plan tiers or add-on features. The following policies apply to account modifications:

Upgrading from Free to Institutional
Free users can upgrade to Institutional at any time. Upon upgrade, your 30-day free trial begins immediately and your billing cycle starts on day 31. You receive full Institutional access from the moment you upgrade — no restrictions during the trial period.

Downgrading to Free
You can downgrade from Institutional to the free plan at any time by cancelling your paid subscription (see Cancellation section). You retain Institutional access until the end of your current paid billing period, after which your account converts to the free plan. Data associated with Institutional features will be retained but may not be accessible until you resubscribe.

Future Plan Tiers
If Cluenex introduces higher-tier plans in the future, current Institutional subscribers will have the option to upgrade at the then-current pricing for those tiers. Your existing Institutional plan is not affected by new tier introductions.
cancel8. Cancellation Policy

Cancel anytime. No penalties. No questions asked.

You may cancel your Cluenex Professional subscription at any time without penalty, cancellation fees, or obligation to provide a reason. There are no lock-in periods, minimum commitment terms, or exit fees.

    How to Cancel
    Log in to your Cluenex account, navigate to Settings → Subscription → Cancel Subscription, and follow the on-screen steps. You can also request cancellation by emailing support@cluenex.com from your registered email address. We will confirm your cancellation by email within 1 business day.

    When Cancellation Takes Effect
    Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. For example, if you cancel on the 15th of the month but your billing anniversary is the 28th, you retain full Professional access through the 28th. You will not be charged again after your last billing date. We do not prorate the remaining days.
  • 3
    Access After Cancellation
    After your paid period ends, your account automatically converts to the free plan. Your account data, watchlist, and history are retained for at least 30 days after the final billing period ends. You will not lose your data immediately upon cancellation.
  • 4
    Resubscribing After Cancellation
    If you cancel and later resubscribe, you will be charged at the then-current advertised price for new subscribers. Your 30-day free trial applies only to your first subscription — resubscriptions are billed immediately at the current rate without a trial period.
  • 5
    Cancellation Confirmation
    You will receive an email confirmation when your cancellation is processed, showing the date your subscription will end and when your account will convert to the free tier. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours, contact support@cluenex.com immediately to verify your cancellation was processed.

We stand behind Cluenex. Our refund policy is straightforward and user-friendly. Here is every scenario covered:

30-Day Full Refund Guarantee
If you subscribe to the Institutional plan and are not satisfied for any reason within the first 30 calendar days of your first payment, contact us at support@cluenex.com and we will refund your first payment in full — no questions asked, no feedback required, no forms to fill out. Your $101 (plus any applicable taxes paid) will be returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Subscription charges beyond the initial 30-day guarantee period are non-refundable. We provide renewal reminders 3 days before each billing date to ensure you are not surprised by charges. If you no longer wish to continue, cancel before your next renewal date to prevent future charges. We will not provide retroactive refunds for charges you did not cancel before the renewal date.

No Prorated Refunds for Cancellation
When you cancel your subscription, you retain access through the end of your paid billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for the unused portion of a billing period upon cancellation. This applies whether you cancel one day or three weeks into a billing cycle.

Refunds Not Available For
Refunds are not available for: (a) accounts terminated by Cluenex for violation of the Terms of Use; (b) charges disputed after the 30-day guarantee period; (c) claims based on dissatisfaction with market performance or investment outcomes; (d) accounts where systematic abuse of the refund policy is detected (e.g., repeated subscribe-refund-resubscribe patterns).

Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds are initiated within 2 business days of your request. Once initiated, the refund is processed through Stripe and credited back to your original payment method. Bank and card processing times vary — most refunds appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, though some banks may take up to 15 business days. The refund will appear as a credit from "Cluenex" or "Stripe" on your statement.

Refunds for Technical Issues
If a significant technical issue caused the Service to be substantially unavailable during a period you paid for, contact us at support@cluenex.com and we will evaluate the situation fairly. Extended outages affecting core functionality may qualify for a partial service credit at our discretion. We will always communicate transparently about significant service incidents.
trending_up10. Price Changes for New Subscribers

Prices for new subscribers may change. Existing subscribers are always exempt.

Cluenex reserves the right to change the subscription price for new subscribers at any time. When we raise or change pricing for new subscribers:

  • The price change applies only to new subscriptions started after the change takes effect
  • Existing active subscribers are not affected by price increases for new subscribers — their $101/mo rate remains unchanged as long as their subscription is active and continuous
  • We will display the updated pricing clearly on the Cluenex website and pricing page
  • No advance notice is required for pricing changes that affect only new subscribers and not existing active subscribers

In the unlikely event that we need to raise prices for existing subscribers, we will provide at least 60 days' advance notice via email and platform notification, and will give affected subscribers the option to cancel within that notice period at no charge if they do not wish to continue at the new price.

person_remove11. Account Deletion vs Cancellation

Cancelling a subscription is not the same as deleting your account.

It is important to understand the distinction between subscription cancellation and account deletion:

Subscription Cancellation
Cancelling your subscription ends automatic billing and downgrades your account to the free plan at the end of the current billing period. Your account and all your data (watchlist, history, preferences) are preserved. You can log in, use the free tier features, and resubscribe at any time. Cancellation does not delete your account.

Full Account Deletion
Account deletion permanently removes your account and all associated personal data (subject to legal retention requirements for billing records). This action is irreversible. To delete your account, first cancel your subscription, then contact support@cluenex.com with your account email and request full deletion. We will process the deletion within 30 days. Billing records are retained for the legally required period even after deletion.
undo12. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback.

If you believe a charge from Cluenex is incorrect or unauthorized, please contact us at support@cluenex.com before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. We will investigate and, where appropriate, issue a refund directly — which is faster, simpler, and avoids the administrative overhead of a chargeback dispute for both parties.

We understand that chargebacks are a legitimate consumer protection tool. However, initiating a chargeback for a legitimate charge that falls within our stated policies (charges beyond the 30-day guarantee period, charges you received service for but didn't cancel before renewal, etc.) constitutes a violation of our Terms of Use.

In cases of confirmed fraudulent chargebacks:

  • The account associated with the disputed charge will be immediately suspended pending investigation
  • We will provide our payment processor and your bank with complete transaction records demonstrating the legitimacy of the charge
  • Accounts with confirmed fraudulent chargeback history may be permanently terminated and banned from reregistering
