Form 4
The filing a company insider must send the SEC within two business days of buying or selling the company’s shares.
Why it matters
It is the fastest official record of what the people running a company do with their own money.
How to read it
Look at the transaction code: P is an open market purchase, S a sale. Awards and option exercises are pay, not a view on the stock.
